UP100J Networked Combo Level-1 and Level-2 EV Charging Station:

The UP100J provides charging for 2 Electric Vehicles simultaneously, supporting all new EVs (such as the Nissan "LEAF", GM "VOLT", or FORD "Focus EV"), while also supporting legacy EVs, Electric Motorcycles and E-Scooters.  Designed to deliver the best user experience to your EV drivers, while offering you the most robust product on the market, the UP100J is ideal for demanding multi-family, public and fleet use. Here are a few feature highlights:

GRIDbot UP100J Dual L-1 and L-2 EV Charging Station
  • Level-2 charging through a J1772 coupler

  • Level-1 charging receptacle (NEMA R15-20)

  • Fully compliant with UL2231-1&2, UL991, UL2594, SAEJ1772, and NEC standards

  • Advanced graphical interface offering "Fleet", "Vending" or "Value" modes

  • Data collection of each charging session along with local grid health data

  • Unique instant-access authentication with bank level network security

  • Time of day price-schemes that can be set remotely through network

  • Networked demand response, cold ramp-up, and other load control features

  • EV charging and data collection functions normally during network outage

  • Personal protection system on each output (patent pending durable relay technology)

  • Remotely upgradable interface and firmware

  • Mounting options include Pad-Mount, Direct-Burial, Wall-Mount, and Pole-Mount

  • Housing posts can be ordered separately and preinstalled for pre-wire programs along with GRIDbot’s unique charging post signage cover to maximize EV awareness

Each UP100J station consists of the GRIDbot networked graphical user interface, a Level-2 coupler, and a Level-1 receptacle, housed in a rugged 1/4 inch thick all aluminum, corrosion resistant pedestal. The charging coupler is controlled by GRIDbot's patent pending safety controller, offering durable fail safe personal ground fault protection and ground monitoring technology.

Once installed, each UP station becomes part of a secure network, giving the owner remote control over several interface options including a wide array of data collection, value exchange, price setting, and diagnostic capabilities.

The "fleet" interface is designed to optimize the driver's plug-in experience and to facilitate fleet management by collecting data on a per vehicle basis.

The "vending" and "value" interfaces are designed to give EV drivers the best user experience, while providing an effective cost recovery business model for the station owners.  Data and IDs are collected on a per user basis which facilitates various subscription mechanisms.  In "vending" mode, the price of each port is set by owners online and displayed on the station.  In "value" mode, EV drivers receive free charging by using GRIDbot's patented SMS cell phone interface.

Demand response control is built into each level-2 port and is driven by patented line-monitoring algorithms, as well as signal control over the network.  The maximum amperage draw of the level-2 vehicle can be adjusted at any time, during charging, with a 3 minute response.  Additionally a network independent cold load ramp-up system softens the load draw on local transformers after a power outage.

The entire station firmware and interface is remotely upgradable, allowing new interfaces, languages and protocols to be sent to stations in the field from the server, as the industry EVSE industry learns what EV drivers, station owners, and businesses like best.
